RE: impedence of CCS mu output

I ran those for a very long time, I did not use a gate stoppers, adding one does not hurt a a bit as the voltage change on the gate is nearly constant, i.e. very small charge currents. Try using 100 ohm in series with the gate. Some people have used ferrite beads.


Yes, I have used this circuit. I designed it in the early 90's.


For very low signal tube circuits I'd use a plate resistor rather than this contraption. I've used wire wounds with good results.
