RE: impedence of CCS mu output

Thanks, but it's really based on Gary Pimm's circuit without the grid leak second stage.

The D3a would be a great input tube but I want to save my D3As for where they are really needed. I use it in the second stage because it can be run with Rg = 500K ohms. I think a total amplification factor of ~4000 will give me about 45db of gain at 1KHz which should be enough gain. Equivalent noise resistance should be about the same.

This is my first phono design so I'm "Shure" it will get tweaked to LCR at some point in the future. This one will be built from parts in my junk box. I have some VitQ and "equivalent" Sangamo PIO caps that should sound OK in this circuit.
