Guys,
I got my hands on couple Electra-Print 8037 plate chokes. I used them to replace CCS for 5687 plate loading. The sonic result is superior to the CCS. My problem is that the noise floor lifted well above tolerance. I'm sure that the chokes will not have the same PSRR that the CCS have. I have tweeked the power supply with limited results.
Question: I have read that the Electra-Print Plate chokes have a low capacitance winding intended for the Plate. These chokes have yellow and purple lead. Can anyone out there fill me in as far as which lead goes to the plate?
Thanks
Stuben
