Greetings- I admire your courage taking on a phono pre as your first DIY project. The JE Labs website is chock full of great information and I think that it would be a good place to start. First and foremost, play it safe, read up on all of the precautions regarding high voltage electricity. This stuff is a lot of fun, but always remember that it can kill you.
