I'd probably keep it simple and cap-couple; but I'm sure others would disagree.
I generally tend to believe that the only reason to transformer-couple is if you are gaining something by the use of the transformer.
A couple of 826 caveats:
Be aware that you'll really need a B+ of at least 500 v on the plate.
Also, 826s can be finicky...I've had a number of them that were gassey, and have had a few crack near the base (due to the glass being too thin). The good news is that if they survive the first hour or so, they seem to last a very, very long time.
