Last Thursday was a devastating one for the audiophile community. I wrote a bit about George on the Bottlehead Forum; he truly was one of the good guys.

J. Gordon Holt was the first person I ever encountered who spoke with brutal honesty about how things really sounded - I'll never forget his honest and on-the-button accurate dismissal of the Bose 901s when every other reviewer was totally enamored with them...I became an immediate convert!
