RE: CCS noise

I once tried a LM317/DN2540 cascode design published by Walt Jung in AudioXpress as plate loads in a 6N6P based differential parafeed line stage. Apparently the LM317s generate quite a bit of broadband noise. The line stage hissed like a den on snakes! Went back to DN2540s. Very quiet!
