In light that the valve was designed for series pass reg, ya got very low plate resistance which IMHO,lends better to OTL designs.

If one were to use OPTs, parafeed might be a better approach considering the current requirements. When you consider the plate resistance of the ED8000, Plate loading would require a fairly low Henry Choke but the cap would be sizable and I found an Old Hammond Radio OPT replacement that might be an inexpensive option for the ouput. Might be a viable project..
