Greetings- If you have chance to get a Blackburn Audio board, grab it while you can as I'm not sure that they are still being produced??. I previously had the Triode Electronics Board (EF-86/ 12AU7 or 6cg7)in my ST-70 and was quite pleased with the improvement over the stock board , until I built and installed the Blackburn Audio board. In my opinion, in my amp, The BA board bested the Triode board by a large margin.I used the Russian .22 uf oil caps as well as a few other premium components. You will however, need to install either an additional 6.3 volt filament transformer (Leeds Radio, NY- less than $10.00) to handle the extra current demand of the octals, or one of the "new uprated" PA-060 power transformers.Keep the tube rectifier, it will sound better. regards, wpod
