Greetings- I stumbled onto this board quite by accident. I bought a mic input transformer on FleaBay, clicked "see seller's other items", and there it was, a 6SN7 GT ST-70 Driver PCB. I had always wanted to try a 6SN7 front end on an ST-70, but figured that I'd eventually have to hardwire my own. The build quality of the board ( 0.062 Blue FR4 PCB with 2 oz. copper )is topnotch, probably the best that I have seen. It can normally be purchased as a bare board or as a complete kit but Matt was nice enough to sell me a kit less the capacitors. If you can't tell from the photo, the four .22 uf caps are the ubiquitous Russian K40Y-9 400volt oilers which luckily fit on this board due to his clever design. First thing that I noticed was how quiet the amplifier is now, I measured .1 mv AC on both channels with the preamp muted. Listening impressions to follow at a later date. Check out his website where he explains the other octal tubes that can be used with this board as well as the provisions for individual output tube bias. No affiliation, just a very pleased customer. regards, wpod
