As Dave indicated, the inverted operation is a big deal, especially in terms of bandwidth. According to Nobu Shishido, Tango developed special winding techniques to obtain high freq response with their IITs.
All of the Tango IITs I'm aware of utilize a relatively small step-down, generally between 1:0.7 and 1:0.9 - I have no idea why that is the case.
The only Tango IIT currently being manufactured is the S-2014 [formerly known as #10672]; which is 1:0.8, 800 ohms, max unbalanced DC 25 mA.
