great advise.I didn't realize that the MC225 was held in such high regard. I've never been a fan of the 7591 tube (for stupid reasons), although a few of my other amplifiers use them, and do sound quite good. Just to make sure that I understand you correctly, are you saying to replace the two can caps C26 and C27 (both are 150uf/250vdc) with a pair of 820 uf doublers? Then after the choke, comes the three section can cap (C29 a- 80uf,b-35uf,and c-15uf), Should I replace this with a pair of dual 100uf @500vdc can caps?, and if so, what the best way to utilize the extra 100uf section?, parallel it with one of the other sections or use it in place of C30 (10uf), the -21 volt bias cap? Wait a minute, I don't think that second option is possible.Where is a good place to source the CL30, does Jim have them? One last question Mike, which Russian seller has the best prices and selection of the K40 caps? Once again, Thanks for all of your help, regards, Paul
