Matts- Thanks very much for that suggestion, I wasn't aware that those type even existed. Just to clarify, I didn't leave the meter directly in the pouring rain, it didn't get "soaked". It was actually 6-8 feet away from the nearest screen and had a light "morning dew" type of moisture on a few areas of the dial and display.I truley didn't mean to leave it outside, I made that mistake. Never having read the "details" of the lifetime warrranty,I always ASSUMED that the meter would be covered for most any problem with the exception of being crushed, burned,or perhaps IMMERSED in water.Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction, I actually thought that most of the "top of the line" meters were "water resistant". I guess that I'm just a big dope. Thanks again, Paul
