OK I think I get your drift. I still don't think switching noise is much of an issue with choke inputs but then I don't have a scope nearly fast enough to see it. My circuits are all class A so variable current drains not an issue either.From your descriptions of the possible causes of diode noise it sounds like the new 600V Silicon Carbide Schottky diodes might be worth trying. I'll see if I can find Infineon's Oz distributor.
