possible that there was a downstream circuit issue that caused early death?On another note, I had a Toroid of Maryland tube amp power transformer
toroid fail after 3 years of faithful use. The primary winding opened up. The failure happened while I was listening to music on an amp that has no problems and only lightly loads the toroid transformer.I guess these failures can happen anytime.
