Hi, i'm interested in building a 10 watt single ended 300b tube amp, I've lost $1100 on a blown one i got from china, no service, no warranty. I figure I can build one for half the price. i've got moderate experience working on electronics. fixing computers, microphones, cd players, tape recorders, etc. But on tube gear i've only done tube rolling. I found a pair of 10w 300b output transformers for $100. IF i use a 8 watt 300b se schematic and the extra watt output transformer instead , what else would i have to do?> Is this feasible? How difficult would it be for a begginer in building tube amps? thanks for any feedback as I'm very seriously considering this.
