I'll try to do a pre-post with the scope and take pics. See what happens.
FWIW, I did try part of the RRSF: 0.1uf 1600V polyprop across the secondary, the first part of the filter. The ringing was very bad. Guess it's the usual, buy and try. Each app. is different, and off to the surplus closet.
