Let me be more precise. The differences in conductivity, etc., are of utterly negligible significance, as far as audio signals are concerned.

I think this is just trying to create "deep mysteries" where none exist. It can all be perfectly well measured and comprehended.

In the words of Carl Sagan, extraordinary claims require extraordinary proofs. If it could be rigorously demonstrated by means of double-blind testing that an amplifier wired with silver wire sounds different from an otherwise identical amplifier wired with cheap wire from Home Depot, then I would be more than happy to revise my opinion.
