RE: Where does the current come from?

When looking at the sim and seeing how the charging currents shift in phase, it does shed some light on just how far back in to the PSU the amplifier's musical signal has an effect.

The whole entity is a resonant, pulsing unit. At some point, I would assume that each part will have an impact on the sound right back to the rectifiers which the sim would seem to show.

Quite how important the phase relationship would affect things is an interesting question. Thomas Meyer seems to favour the huge choke route in his designs from what I've seen.
