The Duttman Rules

Just got the last of the Eli Modded phono stage finished and fired it up. First impression? WOW! And I do mean WOW! Very dynamic. Plenty of gain with my Grace F9R. That's not to say I don't like others. But the musical presentation is second to none. The speakers just disappear. And the best thing about it is I used very generic parts. Never knew there was that much music in some of the LP's I tried. I might just pull an all nighter and go through my collection. Well! Maybe not all but a good few but the all nighter is destined and if not tonight, definitely by the weekend. My collection is thousands most of which I will never hear again on any of my systems.

I would have to say this phono is a must hear. Very simple to build and I am terrible at laying out a point to point circuit so I had a couple of boards made. Reason a couple is because the PC manufacturer would only do a run of three the smallest. The other two are for Eli and Jeff Yourison if they want one. If not they stay with me.

Anyway, just wanted to thank Jeff and Eli for all their help and me being a pest. Eli! You have a very unique way of presenting things. I really learned a lot but still too much more to learn and at my age it's not going to happen. They were both very helpful and gave me the ambition to keep the faith and build it myself.

Of late I was having a friend build things for me but he hasn't responded to any of my emails so I gave up looking for another and did it myself.

Thanks you Jeff and Eli and to others that responded to my postings or cry for help. Thanks Mikey Samra for the caps.

My next venture in the future is the Pete Millet LR phono preamp. Anyway, thanks to all.
