I find it interesting that they used such low order distortion tubes, then use so many stages with crummy parts. So the advantage of the so called low order distortion tube becomes somewhat if not a completely mute point.
Adding so many stages rapidly increases the high order distortions produced in the component.
The crummy parts clearly color the music.And what about the high 2nd order distortion of the tube itself? It is clearly heard.
