a low DCR / low H choke is a key component the "LSES" filter chain . For example, the triad C40X 0.32H/10 ohm resistor has been used . Since this choke also stores energy, and has a higher impedance than (say), a 10 ohm resistor, . .shouldn't the resistor be a superior component in this application (assuming there are no adverse effects from the diminished power supply ripple reduction).
I'm curious, because this is what I resorted to (replacing a buzzing C40X in L1 with a 10 ohm resistor) in my LSES supply powering a push pull amp, .. and so far, I'm pleased with it.
