Hi y'all:
Its always odd and spooky reading anonymous posts.
It makes me wonder .............
a) who IS the person writing?
b) what are his (or her) qualifications to post?
and for myself, being an experienced audiophile who has seen a lot over MANY years, I would add the following questions, strictly from MY own perspective:
c) what kind of high fidelity system does he (or she) have in their home?
d) would the poster's system mentally engage me? (Usually it does not!)
e) what has this person, posting on a Tube DIY Forum, actually built and is using, and at what music level does it perform ?
f) why does the person hide his (or her) identity ?
Bottom line, I would largely discount people who don't have the "moxie" to post their name. How can one bank on the information - or in this case, the opinion semi-laced with a few positive attributes ?? What is the intent ?
JLH, on the other hand, is a well know builder, a KNOWN commodity on many A.A. Forums, owns, built, and USES a true HIGH END audio system, has a formal engineering background, and has built systems for other high end audio people.
Its just my take, you are entitled to have your own take on anonymous posters, and I respect that. Believe what you want, and I want to believe what I hear !!
