I can't figure out how the harmonic distortion would be low enough to listen to without feedback considering how non-linear the tube is?

Not intended as a personal attack. A lot of people listen to beam power tubes single ended without feedback, I just can't understand how.

Even as triodes beam power tubes (or pentodes) are not very linear and will produce quite a bit of HD vs. a DHT like a 45, 2a3, 300b, 845.
