amp build

Power supply is 420-0-420 Heyboer @ 800mA. Choke is Hammond 5H at 25 ohms. Main capacitor is 400uF Wima. B+ voltage is 350V. Rectifier diodes are 816s.

The amplifier chassis is a Tubelab Simple SE with 6l6GC in UL. Cathode resistor is 220 ohms giving me 93mA per tube.

The 12AT7 had way too much gain. I swapped to a 12BH7 and changed the cathode resistor to 560 ohm. I removed the cathode bypass caps for the driver. I've got 160V at 10mA for the 12BH7 using the 10m45 CCS.

I also fed the 10m45 from the UL taps - but don't think I'm getting much local feedback. (if any)

Output transformers are Edcor GXSE15-2.5K to 8 ohm. Coupling caps are .1uF Wima film and foil.

The amp sounds great. I need to get some measurements.
