RE: 7th order harmonic ... game over?

"What fraction of a % of seventh order harmonic ruins the musical presentation?"

I can't put a number to it but it doesn't take much.

"Typically, you don't see much seventh order harmonics in SE feedback circuits unless you got a bad tube."

Exactly, that's why I use tubes and not transistors.

"I look primarily at 7th harmonic. Why? Because tubes have a difficult time generating it, as well as loudspeakers, BUT solid state can make it easily."
