Ultra high end audio is more of a cult. The followers are blind to reality.

You also said the rest of us are using antique circuits. There is nothing more antique than the Serous Stereo 2A3 amp. It is of 1930s design. A modern design, as there are many, would employ current sources and sinks as applicable as well as other solid state enhancements where they make sense.

Somewhere in this forum there is a photo of a Serious Stereo amp with the bottom cover off. Looked much like my 1930 Philco cathedral radio. Again nothing new or unique there.
