The steel mounting ears on Hammond open-frame chokes and transformers are no longer flush with the bottom of the laminations. The ears are elevated about 0.060" or 0.070". When mounting screws are tightened, this warps an aluminum chassis pretty badly. Washers probably aren't the best solution for this, but maybe that's the only choice. What is everyone else doing?
