Yes, I assumed from your initial post that you might not be "hands-on" at component level. Actually, I'm glad you weren't offended by my comment. People visit these forums from all backgrounds and skill levels. What I said was not intended in any way to be disrespectful.
Bearing in mind that I don't have the schematic, it doesn't appear to me that the 6SN7s will create functional problems. Nevertheless, my suggestion would be to consider this a "conversion," not just a substitution. Revising a few component values to optimize the operating point of the 'SN7s could pay dividends.
