Do It Yourself (DIY) paradise for tube and SET project builders.

I know that

but some of the Realistic gear I found when searching predates the standalone Radio Shack stores. It goes back at least to the Tandy era, but I remember being in those stores as a kid in the early '60s, and there were no tube amps. They were already selling micro transistor radios and selenium solar cell kits. So, I have to wonder if the Realistic tube gear - much of which is monophonic - shown in various images around the Internet was a brand that was later purchased by Radio Shack. Maybe there's a synopsis of all this somewhere...
