I was following your thread but didn't read up on the later posts, but started another thread dealing with ground loop hum in the Amp/Preamp section. My problem appears to be from my preamp, and am also going to replace the current outlet with a GFCI. Just for safety as I'm dealing with transmitting tubes.
Ground loop appears to be a popular problem nowadays.
