The g2 voltage adjustment is to drive the load line out the top, at *JUST the right spot before the knee. It is likely a wee bit more precise than the multiples of 0B2 voltage increments.
But don't worry, DT is not worried about distortion; it is more getting the schematic and operation blessed by his priesthood.
