I just got ahold of this pair of amps and I'm excited to bring them back to former glory, and maybe more.
Sweet looking little chassis for something designed to spend its life hidden in the back of a console! Components look to be original including Sprague Bumblebee film caps. Output tubes are whipped; one cracked it's envelope when I pulled it from my tube tester's socket. While I'm searching for a good set to replace them, I plan to re-cap the power supply and cathode bypass on the output tubes.
I' thought I might first stick to the original power supply design, replace electrolytics in-kind, make sure other components are to spec, then listen and get to know it. I gather there are folks here who've done more than that to these amps, and I'm curious to know what your favorite changes or upgrades have been. I don't have a schematic, but if I don't come up with one in the next couple of days I'll draw it. CRCRC coming off the 6CA4 rectifier.
Thanks!
Roger
