And what evidence do you have to support that opinion?
If they were put there simply to measure the tube current, wouldn't the manufacturer have put a value in that simplified the math? Surely 10 ohms makes for a better "sense" resistor than 15.6 ohms.

Secondly, if the manufacturer himself states that this was done to influence the distortion characteristics of the amp, then why should anybody care that you have an opinion to the contrary?
