it has been my experience that, starting with a design is far differnet from finishing with that same design. You mentioned the McIntosh circuit, do you realize that it takes a very specialized OPT? not trying to discourage you...There are *FAR* simpler circuits which will yeild performance to beat the 30's across the board, both on the bench and by ear.
