The 12DW7 twin triode is 1/2 an 'X7 and 1/2 a 'U7. A 12AX7 section with SS CCS loading would give you plenty of gain and the 12AU7 section would be your phase splitter. Both EI and JJ are currently producing 12DW7s and, of course, there is NOS.
