My Dad's old amp has been reworked with Solen tin foil coupling caps and Dale metalfilm resistors since the old ones were leaky/drifted. The PS electrolytic was replaced with Solen metalized caps in a dual mono configutation but the signal circuit is stock. The sound is fast and dynamic but when I go to my 2A3 amps I notice the lack of ultimate refinement and detail. May try motor run caps in the PS!
