Re: How About CCS Plate Loads?

Hey Mike,
My understanding of how a diff pair works as a phase inverter requires only one ccs and the resistive plate loads. The balance is achieved by any increase in current by one section being robbed from teh other. So, increase g1 in the input section, current goes up, plate voltage comes down and the inverse happnes on the grounded grid section, current goes down, plate voltage goes up. For the second stage, the 5687, I am wrestling with the idea of ccs plate loads and resistove tail load. I have a feeling this will work well indeed, though I will need to try it once, it is afterall only one more ccs than the two at the tails.

Anyway, thanks to all the contributors, some fine ideas indeed. Please don't stop.
regards,
Douglas
