Thanks for that input. Always learning here. With another amplifier I recently built (6V6s PP in triode mode) I used that negative cathode source. But I liked the lack of NFB as well.

Looks like a rat's nest under with 3 transformers and 3 diode bridges but hey, it sounds good.
