Most high-level HPFs are composed of a series cap, perhaps followed by a choke to ground. A tube amplifier driving one of these will have little or no load at low frequencies. This arrangement also ignores the reduction in IM and other distortions that would otherwise be possible if the low frequencies were stripped out of the signal chain prior to high-level amplification.
