OK, you have a line stage with gain. The "El Cheapo" small signal circuitry I'm associated with is not capable of driving EL34s to full O/P, when fed by the 2 VRMS signal produced by a CDP. However, your line stage produces more than 2 VRMS. Therefore, the 12AT7 based splitter/driver should work. ;> )
"Breadboard" the setup, as excessive overall gain is possible. Should that turn out to be the case, change from a 12AT7 to a 6J6, but don't change the operating conditions. Increase the LTP load resistance value by adding a carbon film part in series with the wirewound part. EL34s need a "taller" B+ rail than 6V6 family tubes. The triodes in the splitter/driver should have 200 to 220 V. on the plate and the plate current should be 3 mA.
Obviously, you don't need the volume control. However, retain the I/P high pass pole, to protect against O/P "iron" core saturation.
Have you given thought to the power supply? We should be able to come up with a modestly priced toroid from AnTek to energize the shebang.
Me legend? NAH!!
