I have two more questions related to my HF-8X project:1. The HF-86 schematic on the Triode site shows a 10K resistor on the grid of the 12AX7 section of the 7247. What is its function? Is the value 10K magic in this application?
2. In order to use a single 12AU7 for gain and phase-splitter, I'm thinking of swapping in the final gain and phase-splitter stages of the HF-81 shown in this schematic . The input section of the gain stage would then go input jack -> 100K pot -> [something] -> grid of one section of the 12AU7. What should that [something] be? A 10K resistor as in the HF-86 circuit?
Thanks very much,
