Ned Carlson's Dusty Files construction notes for the Eico HF-86 specify a 100mA minimum power transformer. Isn't each EL84 running at 60mA-- and if so wouldn't this circuit (once you include the uA's from the input and driver stages) draw just a little more than 120mA per channel?Clearly I'm doing my arithmetic wrong or missing some important principle. The HF-86 power-supply schematic I found online specifies a 150mA current draw for both channels together, which also doesn't sound right.
I famously always brain-fart decimal points to the left or right a couple of places. Is that what I'm doing this time too?
