RE: What voltage should an HF-87's PT secondary be?

I second the recommendation to replace the diodes. I once replaced the original diodes in a Dyna SCA-35 with soft-recovery Hexfred types--with no other changes--and the results were quite apparent (and positive). 1960s diodes were often very noisy--or they have become so with age....
