I am going to modify a pair of Eico HF-20s.
I proposed the 1.5HY choke add for new CL section off of rectifier tube feeding the rest of replacement caps in the PS. Rectifier is now a 5R4GYB replacing 5U4GB and feeding a 4-uF oiler cap.
New second 15HY choke replacing 6K resistor after first filter section that feeds audio transformer and the screen regulator (270 volts screen). The new second choke restores the lowered B+ to original voltage for rest of tubes.
K40Y-9's in preamp and Russian FT-3 teflon caps at 6L6 grids. MultiCap RTX in RIAA phono section.
Seperate 6L6G adjustable cathode bias with resistor straped mil-spec pots unstressing the wiper to some degree. Black Gate capacitor cathode bypass for phono & 6L6's. Amperex E80cc replacing 12AU7's. Brimar CV4004 replacing 12AX7's.
Any other suggestions?
