We are talking about a push pull amp, not a single ended amp.
It's hard to believe that a choke rated at 600 mA DC (your pet) will 'sound' different at 120 mA (2*60 mA) than at 90 mA (2*45 mA). Neither current equals the 'golden rule' value of 375 mA (5/8*600).
