Will This Input Circuit Work with PP 6B4G?

I posted about this a while back but didn't get any replies regarding the suitability of this particular front end circuit for use in the PP 6B4G project I'm working on so I figured I'd ask again. Sorry to be a pest :^)

Is this circuit with a single 6SN7 per channel enough to drive PP NOS 6B4Gs? If not, would it work with different operating points?

I mentioned the Pete Millet circuit before, which uses two 6SN7s per channel. Since it only needs 200mv of input to drive the 6B4Gs to full output and a CD player puts out 2v (10 times what's needed with that circuit!), I thought I might be able to use a simpler circuit that produces less gain. I'd like to use 6SN7s or some 2C22/7193s that I just got. I generally use a preamp although I'll probably put a volume control in place of the 100k resistor at the input so I could go direct from the CD. As always any advice, wisdom and explanation is greatly appreciated. . . . Charlie
