Could someone explain to me why an LCR network for RIAA compensation is more desirable than a RC network. And LCR at 600 ohms. Why so low? To avoid large inductors, hum, etc.? So, why not have zero inductance and avoid the problem entirely? There must be a good reason. LCR and 600 ohms seems to be making the a simple job (RC) into a most difficult job (LCR).
Just asking.
