Very sweet, low budget 45 SE amp

Just got through breadboarding a very nice little 45 SE amp I found on Chris Terry's web site after following a link from here in the loonie bin. The link for the schem is below. I built this using 1/2 of a single 6sn7 per channel and using only one 2.5 volt filament tranny for the 45's as per plan. I know, that isn't the "right" way to do it, but tell that to my ears 'cause they can't hear anything wrong with it.
The changes I did make were to use what I had for parts and that was 27mfd solens instead of 33's and two 47mfd solens instead of three 33's. I also used a mil spec power tranny that was 360-0-360 and used some honker resistors to get the voltages right; 400ohms/25W coming off the rectifier and another 400ohms/25W instead of the 1K called for at the tail end of the PS. Used bathtub oils for the couplers and a sylvania 6sn7wgt for the driver. Tossed in a pair of hammy 125ese's set to 5K for the OPT's. Very nice sound, very low hum.
I do believe this little darlin' will hold it's own with any other 45 I have built so far, and that is quite a few. Considering the ease of construction and low cost I think this would be a great starter amp for anyone wanting to try out SE amps. You could build the bloomin' thing with all new parts for under $250. If you can find any surplus parts you can do it for really cheap. A 45 SE amp is still one of the best sounds around if you have the right (read efficient) speakers. Such detail, such sweetness!
Ok you SE newbies and 45 freaks, say "thank you Chris!" and warm up that ol' iron.
I will say "thank you Chris" as well, 'cause this one may actually get built in metal and wood!
