Capacitance in early vintage amps ..... ( Long)

Have these Push-Pull 45 Wurlitzer jukebox amps for about 6 years now, I've modified updated the voltage dividers to modern power resistors. Also replaced caps with modern motor run oil caps. Lately I replaced the standard 1930's vintage iron with modern Electra- print 45 PP OPT's.
These amps were made in the 1930's and I'm told the "Wide Range" amplifier was about 100Hz to 10KHz at the most. 1930's oil caps were at the most about 25uf at > 400 volt DC ( that the largest in the amps schematic.
With all the the modifying, except for the OPT change, had I heard any change in refinement the quality of sound, like what I just did. What I did was add a 100 uf electrolytic to the last cap at the CLC power supply. The normal cap spec is 6uf by the schematic I was using a 10uf Solen so I bypassed it with the 100uf electrolytic.
The old amps responded very well to the added capacitance. They now have an extended realism. Granted I don't think I would have heard it if the OPT weren't top notch, but that little bit was enough.
Are there points of diminshing returns for capacitance in these old designs ?
Have fun!
Willie
